Here at Heavenly Sunsets Golden Retrievers we spend lots of time training these pups to be curious and courageous in everything they do. We want them to be able to go out in the real world and be ready for anything that comes to them whether it be a cat, chicken, dogs of all types, surfaces of all kinds, different people, swimming and a variety of sounds. Below you will see several pictures of the puppies from birth to 8 weeks old. Then many more after the pups go to their new homes and come back weekly for their free Puppy Socialization and Obedience classes. Our new owners love these classes to be able to ask questions from me and seek advice from the dog trainer. They get grooming tips and tricks, obedience training and the pups get socialization with their litter mates while they are not fully vaccinated and cannot go out in the big world yet. We also bring in guest dogs each class so the puppies can meet new breeds of dogs to socialize and the owners can learn more about other breeds out there and why they are bred. The classes are a big hit for all involved.

We utilize Early Neural Stimulation, Puppy Culture, Early Scent Training, Avidog and Puppy Brain programs to give our puppies all they can in experiences and enrichment. All puppies are fully trained to use the doggy door and mostly trained to ask to go potty outdoors. All the puppies have been started on crate training, scent training, resource guarding, clicker training, sit, down, come, nail trimming with clippers and a rotary tool, teeth brushing, grooming, touching and tugging on all their body parts. They have all been in various depths of water, met cats, chickens or ducks and met other adult dogs sometimes of different breeds. We play all sorts of sounds such as fireworks, thunder and gun shots. At our home they are introduced to the vacuum, Roomba, blender, hair dryer, baths, emergency vehicles, lots of traffic noises, lawnmower, etc. We get great reports that the pups do not have a problem with Fourth of July fireworks, thunder or other loud noises. They engage in many surfaces and textures such as sand, turf, grass, gravel, grates, metal, slides, swings, wobble boards, board on casters, tarps, bags, tunnels, etc. Above all, our puppies get loads of love and attention all the time with snuggles and massages.
